Little Ink Co. ("we", "us") turns photos of children's drawings into printed keepsakes. Because you trust us with your family's artwork and your address, we try to collect as little as we can and to be clear about what happens to it. Questions? Email steven@thelittleinkco.com.

What we collect

The photos you upload, and anything that happens to be in them. Please keep faces, people and personal details out of the picture. If you type a short note about the drawing, or a child's name and a date to print on it, we keep that too.
Order details: your name, email, phone number, shipping address, what you ordered, and any promo code or referral credit you used.
Payment: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Simple usage information: which steps of the site people use (for example, "uploaded a photo" or "added to cart"), so we can find and fix problems. This is stored by us, not by an advertising company. Your IP address is used to protect the site from abuse.

How we use it

To clean up your drawing, show you a preview, and print and ship your order.
To check uploads for content we can't print (automated safety checks).
To email you about your order: confirmation, shipping and tracking.
If you ask us to "email me this drawing", to send you a link back to it, a reminder the next day, and a last notice the day before it is deleted. If you also tick the optional box, we may send occasional news and offers too. Every message has a way to opt out: just reply and tell us.
To answer your questions, handle problems, and prevent fraud and misuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who helps us (and what they receive)

Stripe takes your payment and receives your payment details and email.
Printify and its print partners print and ship your order. They receive your artwork, name, shipping address, phone number and email.
OpenAI helps create the illustrated version of your drawing. We send it the drawing image and any note you add about it. Under OpenAI's terms for its business API, content we send is not used to train its models.
Our hosting and delivery services (Render and Cloudflare) store and deliver the site and your files, and our email service sends your order emails.
Google Fonts: your browser downloads our fonts from Google, which means Google can see your IP address when a page loads.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our customers and our business.

Your child's artwork

Your drawings are used only to make the products you ask for. We never use customer artwork to train AI models, and we won't post or share your child's artwork publicly without asking you first.

Children

Little Ink Co. is for parents and guardians (18 and older). We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children. A child's name or a date appears on a product only when a parent types it in. If you think a child has given us personal information, tell us and we'll delete it.

How long we keep things

Photos that never become an order are deleted after 7 days, or after 14 days if you asked us to email you a link to your drawing. We delete that email address once the link has expired, unless you ticked the optional box for news and offers. In that case we keep it until you ask us to stop. Photos our safety checks decline are deleted after 7 days as well.
Artwork you ordered is kept for about 12 months so we can help with problems and reprints, then deleted.
Order records (name, email, address, items, amounts) are kept as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal reasons, which can be several years.

Cookies

We use one small cookie that keeps your cart and your place in the process (it lasts up to 180 days), and your browser can remember a referral link you followed. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Just email steven@thelittleinkco.com. We'll answer within 30 days.

California residents: you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to ask us to delete or correct it, and not to be treated differently for asking. We don't sell personal information or share it for advertising. To use these rights, email steven@thelittleinkco.com.

Security and where data lives

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, access controls, and automatic deletion of old uploads. No service can promise perfect security. We operate in the United States and ship only within the continental United States, and your information is stored in the United States.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or on the site.
